COVERED WIRE
Covered wire for millinery, fascinators and flowers. Millinery wire covered with cotton or rayon thread is used to wire the brims of wide-brimmed hats and hats; it comes in coils, in white, off-white and black, and in semi-firm, semi-flexible or soft versions.
For floristry and fabric flowers there is Japanese floral wire covered with white or green braided papyrus, in packs of straight lengths in several gauges, and fine paper-covered wire, which can be painted and glued. Fine cotton-covered wire is also sold by the kilo.
