WORBLA´S KOBRACAST ART 150 X 100 cm

Worbla's® KobraCast Art (WKA): the world's most versatile Worbla's®!

150 cm X 100 cm sheet.

Worbla's® KobraCast Art: you could call it Worbla's all-rounder and, like all products in the Worbla's® Art Series, it is solvent-free and non-toxic (although it has not yet been rated under ASTM D-4236).

It is heat-activated (approximately 80-90 ° C / 175-195 ° F) and can be shaped by hand or in a mould.

WKA can be reactivated as many times as you like and all offcuts can be reused, so there is no waste.

Worbla's® KobraCast Art contains a very strong adhesive, which means it bonds very well to itself and to other materials when handled correctly.

What makes Worbla's® KobraCast Art so unique is the super-stretchy yet tear-resistant mesh inside. This makes it possible to mould organic shapes such as horns. WKA stays flexible even after cooling, which allows complex moulds to be released, including those with undercuts. Worbla's Kobracast Art comes in sheets the same size as Worbla's other sheet thermoplastics, and it is Worbla's thinnest product: it is about as thick as card.

Worbla's Kobracast Art can be shaped over a plaster mould.

The surface of Worbla's® KobraCast Art retains a texture similar to fine medical gauze. You can paint directly onto it or prime it with Flexbond, Gesso or other primers to smooth the surface before painting.

One of Kobracast's new features is that it can easily be sewn to join leather, fur, fabrics and more. As WKA is exceptionally lightweight, it is ideal as a stabilising substructure for bags, fascinator bases, hats, wide-brim hats, sculptural work for film, theatre and much more!

Important!
Worbla's Kobracast Art takes its name from an earlier product that some may know (the now discontinued KobraCast), but it is not a direct recreation. One of the biggest changes is that the original KobraCast was breathable, whereas the new Kobracast Art is not.
