GÜTERMANN HT-2 TEXTILE GLUE

Gütermann creativ HT2 TEXTIL is the ideal glue for creative designs. It is suitable for fabrics such as cotton, denim, linen, felt, wool, ribbons and much more.

It can be washed at temperatures above 40º C, which makes HT2 TEXTIL ideal for hems and garment repairs. It also makes attaching appliqués and textile embellishments very simple.

HT2 TEXTIL dries clear and forms a flexible adhesive film. To achieve its high wash resistance, simply iron it. Freshly applied glue can be removed with water.

The sturdy plastic tube allows even, drip-free application.

• Solvent-free.
• Washable and dry-cleanable.
• In a 30 g tube.

Instructions for using Gütermann HT 2 on textiles:

• Always keep the tube tilted while applying Gütermann HT 2.
• Apply a thin line of Gütermann HT 2 on fine fabrics and woollens.
• Apply a thick line on heavy, strong fabrics.
• This glue is not suitable for acetates (e.g. linings) or coated fabrics. If in doubt, carry out a test first.
• Do not rub Gütermann HT 2 in or work it into the fibres of the fabric.
• For optimum adhesion, wash new fabrics at least once before applying Gütermann HT 2.
• Washable up to 40º C and resistant to dry cleaning.

Standard bonding.

• Quick bonding without ironing.
• Apply a layer of Gütermann HT 2 to one side only (on the back of the hem).
• Wait at least 2 minutes.
• Join the pieces and press together with moderate pressure.

Iron-on bonding.

• Iron-bonded seam, on absorbent or fine fabrics.
• Apply a line of Gütermann HT 2 to one side only (on the back of the hem).
• Leave to dry for 7 minutes.
• Join the pieces and iron for 5-10 seconds (setting depends on the fabric).

Undoing or altering a glued seam.

To undo a seam:

• Iron lightly and pull apart immediately.

To alter a seam:

• Pull apart the old seam, position the new seam and iron it. The original glue almost always still has enough strength, so there is no need to apply more glue.

Removing glue.

• If Gütermann HT 2 has been rubbed in by mistake and has penetrated the fabric, dissolve it immediately with acetone.
• Gütermann HT 2 glue stains cannot be removed by dry cleaning.
• Before using acetone, test on an inconspicuous area to check colour fastness.
