What is Abaca Seda?

A mixture of silk and abaca fiber, this exquisite fabric is ideal for sculpted works. Its unique shine and vibrant color comes from the mixture of fine silk woven through banana palm fibers.

Abaca fiber is three times stronger than cotton or silk, and is extremely durable. This fabric is obtained from the processed stems of the abaca tree, (a banana palm). Because it is a natural fiber, it retains the color wonderfully.

It's fine and smooth. It can be shaped freely, shaped or used for draping. Because this material is woven with silk, it is flexible and creates incredible curves. A hat, headdress or pamela made of silk abaca will always be unique.
