Synthetic felt pillbox base – for wide-brim hats and headpieces

High-quality synthetic felt bases, composed of 35% cotton and 65% polyester, designed as a structural base to be sewn onto a brim in order to create wide-brim hats using sinamay, felt, braided natural straw or other materials.

The pillbox-style design provides a stable, lightweight and versatile base, ideal both for wide-brim hats and for direct use as a pillbox base in structured headpieces and hats.

They do not include any internal fixing system (headband, elastic or comb), allowing complete creative freedom and the possibility to adapt the fastening system to the requirements of each design.

In the product images, we have included examples of finished wide-brim hats, made by sewing this pillbox base onto a brim, so you can clearly see the final result and the real proportions once assembled.

The base can be attached to the brim easily and cleanly, with sewing being the recommended method for a professional and durable finish. It can also be fixed using a hot glue gun, although this option is less advisable, as the bond is significantly weaker.

The final result is elegant, well-balanced and highly professional, as shown in the product photographs.
