Acid dyes are used to colour silk, wool and other organic fibres, as well as some synthetic fibres such as nylon, and nothing does it better! Extremely bright and colourfast, Jacquard Acid Dyes are highly concentrated powdered hot-water dyes that produce even, level colour when immersion dyeing. They will not bleed or fade when washed. Of all the dyes in the world, acid dyes are known to produce the most vibrant colours of all, and the Jacquard palette is unbeatable in both quality and intensity.
Don't be alarmed by the name: the only acid involved is the white vinegar or citric acid added to the water in the immersion dyeing process.
EACH POT CONTAINS 14 GRAMS
As well as dyeing yarns, fibres and fabrics, Jacquard Acid Dyes can also be used for direct painting or printing applications.
- One 1/2 oz / 14 g bottle will colour up to 2 lbs / 0.91 kg of fibre, depending on the depth of shade required.
YOU CAN DYE:
SINAMAY, FEATHERS, SILK, FELT, WOOL, CASHMERE, SOME TYPES OF NYLON. AND IN GENERAL ANY ORGANIC TEXTILE FIBRE.
