COTTON-COVERED WIRE 0.80 MM X 10 M

This is galvanised wire covered with cotton thread. It is used in the millinery industry for inserting into the outer edge of a hat brim, making it possible to create unique shapes.

It is also used in forestry and flower making, as well as in the manufacture of jewellery, furniture, accessories and clothing.

Thanks to its special cotton covering, it has a non-slip feel.

Cotton-covered millinery wire is very versatile, ductile and malleable, which makes it easy to handle, and it is also relatively lightweight.

1.2 mm – An extra-rigid wire, generally useful for creating very firm hat structures.
1.0 mm – A firm wire, suitable for hat structures, flower stems and lightweight brims.
0.8 mm – A slightly firm wire, ideal for light structural details and trims.
0.4 mm – Almost like a thread, this fine wire is excellent for securing trims and creating veining on flowers.
