STIFFENER FOR STIFFENED BUCKRAM LIGHT WITHOUT IRON-ON ADHESIVE

This innovative product turns stiffened Buckram light without iron-on adhesive (Reference: ENT/007 BLANC) into a sturdy fabric, ideal for giving your wide-brim hat brims, hat structures, bases, etc. a rigid, long-lasting finish, even more so than regular Buckram.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Applying it is simple: just brush it generously onto both sides of the stiffened Buckram Light without iron-on adhesive; make sure the product is evenly spread over both sides of the fabric and leave it to dry.

We can speed up the process with hot air (a hairdryer is enough) and the Buckram will be ready.

Once dry, we apply steam to the Buckram and place it between the two fabrics we are going to use for the chosen project: hat, skullcap, wide-brim hat, etc.


Next, we use an iron to activate the bonding process (it is advisable to place a cotton cloth between the iron and the fabric to protect it from the heat of the iron), passing the iron slowly at a high temperature over the whole surface.

Once both fabrics are firmly bonded to the Buckram, we dampen them and then place them on the block we have chosen.

Once blocked, we iron our creation again (remember to protect it with a cotton cloth) to give it the shape we want.


We wait for the product to dry at room temperature and, before removing it from the block, we go over the whole block once more with the iron to give it the final touch.

This product is not compatible with iron-on Buckram.
