Flowers
WHAT ARE FABRIC FLOWERS?
Since time immemorial, humanity has greatly appreciated the beauty and symbolic value of flowers. There is no society that has not introduced flowers in some practice or custom (burials, weddings, courtship, in works of art, as decorative elements in gardens ...).
In terms of their aesthetic value, decorative flowers have often been used to adorn our clothing or accessories, including, of course, hats of all kinds. However, there has always been the same problem with this practice: the flowers wilt, so they can only be used for a day or two at most. In addition, they are very delicate and break easily.
This problem was solved when fabric flowers or plastic flowers were invented, which mimic their appearance and can be used as many times as desired without fear of wilting or breaking.
The most modern ones mimic the appearance of the original flowers so well that they are often indistinguishable from the originals unless you get very close to them or touch them. In some cases, they even mimic the touch of the flowers they emulate!
FLOWER HEADPIECES
The existence of fabric flowers allowed more durable and resistant flower headpieces to be created. This, in turn, made it possible to create more creative and bigger headpieces. A quick Google search is enough to check the madness of headpieces that fashion designers are capable of creating.
Of course, these accessories also began to be seen more often sewn onto hats and clothing.
FABRIC FLOWERS FOR DECORATING AND MUCH MORE
At Artipistilos we are in love with flowers, which is why we have included fabric flowers for decorating of all types of materials, species and in multiple formats in our catalog.
It should be noted that, besides flowers, we also have shrubs and leaves of all types of species and in different materials and formats.
Regarding materials, here you can find faux leather flowers, cold porcelain flowers, sinamay flowers, metallic flowers, felt flowers and even 100% natural preserved flowers. These can vary in size, color, and condition compared to the photographs of them on our website.
Regarding species, here we have plastic flowers of dozens of different species. There are so many that it will be hard to choose! To give a few examples, we will mention mimosa, jasmine, rose, orchid, poppy, bellflower, cotton, peony... The complete list is overwhelming!
As for the format of the flowers, you also have where to choose. One of the most common is the branch or stem format, with which you can create varied bouquets to attach to your hat or headpiece.
We also have floral appliqués, that is, fabric or other material flowers that do not have a stem or branch. They are great to place on hats, jackets, or coats. Another option are the flower knobs, that is, several flowers joined on the same stem or branch.
